The Shinko Asian Pear boasts a rounded shape and an attractive golden-bronze skin. Its flesh is yellowish-white, crisp, juicy, and offers a rich, sweet flavor. These trees are naturally resistant to fire blight, making them an excellent choice for home gardeners. At maturity, they can grow to be 18-20 feet tall with a spread of 12-15 feet, bearing fruit in the late fall.

Here are some additional details:

*   Partially self-fertile
*   Excellent storage, lasting 2-3 months
*   Can be pollinated by Bartlett, Keiffer, and Shineski pears
*   Plant approximately 30 feet apart from other pear trees
*   Requires 400-500 chill hours
*   Thrives in zones 5a-9a. In zones 8 and 9, provide partial afternoon shade.

 

We only ship to the continental USA no shipping to California, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Our plants ship bare root or with minimal soil in a bag.  5 gallon pots or larger they must be picked up at the nursery ( or call for special shipping arrangements to see if we can ship to you ).
