Addison Raspberry is a productive, everbearing red raspberry selected for its large, firm fruit, rich flavor, and high sugar content. The deep-red berries separate easily from the stem when ripe, making them excellent for fresh eating, desserts, preserves, freezing, and local-market sales.

Addison can produce fruit on both first-year primocanes and second-year floricanes, providing the potential for a spring or early-summer crop followed by another harvest later in the season. Its vigorous, semi-erect canes benefit from a trellis or other support.

North Florida Growing Note:

Mulch the root zone to keep the soil cooler, but keep mulch away from the base of the canes. This variety may perform better as a trial planting or in a large container than as a dependable commercial crop in the Florida Panhandle.

Pruning:

Addison produces on both first-year and second-year canes. For two possible crops, remove only the canes that have completed their second year of fruiting. For a simpler single fall crop, all canes may be cut close to the ground during winter dormancy.
