Buy Thornless Honey Locust Trees for sale at Advanced Nursery Growers in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Thornless Honey Locust, botanically known as Gleditsia triacanthos var. inermis, is a fast-growing shade tree valued for its graceful branching and fine-textured leaves.

Its small leaflets create light, filtered shade, so sunlight can still reach grass and plants beneath the canopy. The foliage turns yellow in fall and drops in small leaflets that are generally easy to clean up. Thornless Honey Locust can work well as a lawn specimen, shade tree, or large open-space tree where there is room for its mature size.

This adaptable tree grows in sandy, loamy, and clay soils and can tolerate a range of moisture conditions once established. Plant it in full sun for best growth, and allow plenty of space for its broad canopy.
