Southern Home produces small to medium black grapes with good flavor and a pleasantly crisp texture. The berries are best suited to home use rather than customers seeking the very large fruit of varieties such as Supreme. Its vigorous vines can be trained along a sturdy trellis or arbor, where the distinctive foliage adds interest throughout the growing season.
