Buy Red Honeysuckle Vines for sale at Advanced Nursery Growers in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Red Honeysuckle is a vigorous flowering vine with clusters of tubular, rosy-red to deep-pink flowers that open to reveal creamy-yellow centers. The colorful, lightly fragrant blooms attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators from late spring into summer, with additional flowers often appearing into fall.

This twining vine is beautiful when trained on a trellis, arbor, fence, or pergola. It is generally more manageable than invasive Japanese honeysuckle but still needs a sturdy support and occasional pruning.

  • Special Features: Long flowering season, colorful tubular blooms, hummingbird attraction, and compact climbing habit

Important Identification Note: Lonicera × heckrottii is a cultivated hybrid and is not the same plant as Florida’s native coral honeysuckle, Lonicera sempervirens. It is also different from invasive Japanese honeysuckle.

North Florida Growing Note: Provide morning sun with some afternoon shade if the vine is planted in an especially hot, exposed location. Keep the root area mulched and evenly moist, but avoid waterlogged soil.
