Buy Red Curcuma Ginger plants for sale at Advanced Nursery Growers in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Red Curcuma Ginger is a tropical-looking perennial prized for its bold red flower bracts and lush, upright foliage. Its exotic blooms rise above broad green leaves, creating an eye-catching display in shaded gardens, containers, and tropical landscapes.

Curcuma grows from underground rhizomes and normally enters dormancy during the cooler months. Although the foliage may disappear completely in winter, established plants return when the soil warms in spring.

North Florida Growing Note: Red Curcuma Ginger may survive outdoors in North Florida when planted in a protected location with excellent drainage and a thick layer of winter mulch. Freezing temperatures will kill the foliage, but established rhizomes may return in spring. Container-grown plants can be moved into a protected, frost-free area for winter.

Seasonal Dormancy Notice: Curcuma is a naturally dormant plant. During fall, winter, and early spring, plants may be sold with yellowing foliage, no visible foliage, or as dormant rhizomes. This is normal and does not mean the plant is dead.
