This is a small variety of bottlebrush that grows to be 5 or 6 feet tall. It grows relatively slow, with growth averaging 3 to 6 inches per year.
This cultivar, the Macarthur™ Callistemon, was developed by combining features of two of the most popular varieties, Little John and Captain Cook. This made for an ideal variety that can be used for low maintenance hedges or for groundcover in an open space that could be prone to erosion. It thrives in Zones 8-11.
