The Pakistan Mulberry, also known as the Pakistani Long Mulberry or Shahtoot, is a fast-growing deciduous fruit tree prized for its exceptionally long, dark red to purple-black berries. The fruit can reach 3 to 5 inches long and has a rich, sweet flavor with very little tartness. These delicious berries are excellent for fresh eating, jams, jellies, juice, desserts, and freezing.

Pakistan Mulberry trees produce an abundant crop and also make attractive shade trees. Plant where fallen fruit will not stain sidewalks, vehicles, or patios. Birds and other wildlife also enjoy the ripe berries.

Important Note: Pakistan Mulberry is an introduced Asian mulberry and is not Florida’s native Red Mulberry, Morus rubra. It should have a separate product page from the native Red Mulberry.
