Ivy Green is a classic trailing plant with glossy, dark green leaves and a full, cascading growth habit. It is an attractive choice for indoor containers, hanging baskets, combination planters, and decorative pots.

This easy-to-shape vine can be allowed to trail or trimmed regularly to maintain a fuller, more compact appearance. It grows best in bright, indirect light indoors but can also tolerate lower-light areas.

North Florida Growing Note

English ivy is best kept as an indoor plant or in a contained pot in Florida. Do not plant it in the ground or allow trailing stems to root into the surrounding landscape. UF/IFAS currently considers English ivy a high invasion risk in Florida.

Plant Safety

English ivy may cause skin irritation, and all parts of the plant can be harmful if eaten. Keep it away from children and pets, and consider wearing gloves when pruning or handling cut stems.
