Introducing the Kwanzan Flowering Cherry Tree (prunus serrulata 'kwanzan'), a stunning ornamental tree that brings beauty to any landscape. These trees flourish in sunny conditions, though they are also adaptable to areas with partial shade. To ensure their health and vibrancy, remember to provide them with consistent and adequate watering. When planting, allow ample space between each tree, approximately 12 to 15 feet apart, to promote healthy growth and air circulation. To maintain a tidy and thriving environment, keep the ground around the base of the trees free of grass and weeds, and apply a layer of mulch to retain moisture and suppress unwanted vegetation. For enhanced drainage, especially in heavier soils, consider mounding the soil around the base of the tree. This Kwanzan variety boasts a moderate growth rate, typically adding 13 to 24 inches of height each year. A notable feature of this cherry tree is its sterility; rest assured, it will not produce fruit, making it an excellent choice for areas where fruit is not desired.

Key Features:

Height: These trees typically mature to a height ranging from 30 to 40 feet.

Optimal Growing Zones: They thrive in growing zones 5 through 9, making them suitable for a wide range of climates.
