BLUEBERRY HIGHBUSH Emerald Vaccinium corymbosum was released by the University of Florida in 1999 and is one of the most widely planted cultivars in north-central and central Florida, with smaller plantings in southeast Georgia. 'Emerald' combines a vigorous, upright-spreading bush with high yield potential and large, high-quality berries. The plants are self-pollinating, but will produce larger berries when cross pollinated with other Ivarieties. It needs very few cold hours.

Needs a pollinator: ‘Jewel’, ‘Springhigh’, or ‘Abundance’ cultivars.

Fruits: early to mid season

Height: grow 5-6 ft
