– Sold OutNikita’s Gift This beautiful hybrid persimmon was developed at the famous Nikita Botanical Garden in Ukraine and comes from a cross between American and Asian persimmon. The result is a compact, cold-tolerant tree—usually around 12 feet tall—that fits well in smaller landscapes or backyard orchards.
Nikita’s Gift ripens from fall into early winter, similar to Rosseyanka, but the flavor leans much more toward the sweet, rich taste of Asian persimmons. It’s tougher than most Asian varieties, making it a great choice for growers who need extra cold hardiness.
The tree naturally grows upright, self pollinating and usually needs about a 12-foot area to develop properly. Expect yellow fall foliage and glowing red-orange fruit that softens when fully ripe.
Recommended for Zones 5–8.
