Gupton Blueberry (Vaccinium hybrid ‘Gupton’) is a vigorous Southern Highbush blueberry developed by the USDA for productive growing in the Gulf Coast and southeastern United States. It produces medium-to-large, light-blue berries with excellent sweetness, flavor, firmness, and a small, dry picking scar.

The berries also have good resistance to rain-related splitting and maintain their quality well after harvest. Gupton grows as a sturdy, upright shrub with a relatively narrow crown, making it suitable for home gardens, orchards, U-pick plantings, and commercial fresh-fruit production.

North Florida Growing Note: Gupton is a good choice for North Florida and the Florida Panhandle because it was developed for the Gulf Coast region.
