Pear Trees for North Florida

Advanced Nursery Growers offers a selection of pear trees for sale at our local nursery in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Pear trees are a great choice for North Florida landscapes because many varieties are hardy, long-lived, and dependable producers once established.

We carry pear varieties suited for our area, including Southern favorites such as Kieffer, Baldwin, Orient, Hood, Flordahome, Pineapple, LeConte, Southern King, Spaulding, Sand Pear, Methley, Asian pears, and other pear varieties when available.

Pear trees grow best in full sun with well-drained soil and good air circulation. Many pear trees need another compatible pear variety nearby for best fruit production, so planting two different varieties is often recommended. Some pears are softer eating pears, while others are firmer Southern or sand-type pears that are excellent for cooking, canning, preserves, and wildlife plantings.

Our pear trees are available for local pickup only at our nursery. We do not ship pear trees at this time. Customers visit us from Walton County, DeFuniak Springs, Freeport, Ponce de Leon, Crestview, Niceville, Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Panama City Beach, Bonifay, Chipley, Santa Rosa Beach, Dothan, South Alabama, and surrounding North Florida areas.
