The Elliott Pecan is a respected Southern pecan variety known for its excellent kernel quality, rich flavor, and strong resistance to pecan scab. It is especially well suited to the humid Southeast and is often chosen for home orchards and commercial plantings where disease resistance is important.

Plant Details:

  • Plant Type: Deciduous fruit and nut tree

  • Botanical Name: Carya illinoinensis ‘Elliott’

  • Mature Size: Approximately 60–80+ ft. tall with a broad spreading canopy

  • Sun: Full sun

  • USDA Zones: Approximately 6–9

  • Nut Size: Small to medium pecans with excellent kernel quality

  • Kernel: High-quality, flavorful kernels with a high percentage of edible meat

  • Harvest: Fall, typically around October in the Southeast
