APPLE ARKANSAS BLACK

ARKANSAS BLACK APPLE  Fruits Oct -Nov - Heirloom variety. Known as the bakers favorite apple. A long shelf life known to last 6 months in the cooler.  It is resistant  to the cedar  apple rust.  A heavy producer of medium sized fruit. 18 to 20 ft tall and wide. Grow best in zones 5-8. Fruit Oct and Nov. the fruit tends to hang on the tree well into fall. Grow best in loamy soil. At least 6 hours of direct sun. Takes 2 to 5 year to produce fruit

. Pollinators: Granny Smith/Gala/ Fuji/Jonathon /Golden Delicious Arkansas Black is a old-time heritage variety that has been a favorite in the south for years. It is very late maturing. When mature it has very dark, almost black skin. The fruit has a distinctive tart flavor and can be used for many purposes.

We only ship to the continental USA no shipping to California, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Our plants ship bare root or with minimal soil in a bag. No shipment of  5 gallon pots or larger they must be picked up at the nursery ( or call for special shipping arrangements to see if we can ship to you ).
