Bare-Root Trees – Preorder by November 1

Plan ahead for winter planting with our selection of bare-root fruit and landscape trees. Bare-root trees are grown and shipped without soil around their roots while they are dormant, making winter an excellent time to plant them in North Florida.

Bare-root trees must be preordered by November 1 so we can reserve the requested varieties and quantities with our suppliers. Availability is limited, and some varieties may sell out before the preorder deadline. Placing an order early provides the best selection but does not guarantee availability until the order is confirmed.

Bare-root trees generally arrive during the winter dormant season. Customers will be contacted when their trees are ready for pickup. Arrival dates may vary depending on weather, supplier schedules, and shipping conditions.

Bare-root trees should be planted promptly after pickup. Keep the roots cool and moist until planting, and water the tree thoroughly after planting. Newly planted trees will need regular watering while their root systems become established.

Most bare-root trees are available for local pickup at our nursery in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Limited shipping may be available for select trees. Please contact us before ordering if shipping is required or if you need help selecting varieties and pollination partners.
