Black Mulberry is generally self-fertile, so one tree can produce fruit without a separate pollinator.

Fruit & Planting Location Note:
Ripe black mulberries are extremely juicy and can stain concrete, patios, vehicles, sidewalks, and other hard surfaces. We recommend planting fruiting mulberries away from driveways, parking areas, decks, and heavily traveled walkways.

The ripe fruit is also highly perishable and should be eaten, refrigerated, frozen, or processed soon after harvest.
