Chemlali Olive is a traditional Tunisian olive variety valued primarily for olive oil production. It is one of the most important olive cultivars grown in Tunisia and is especially adapted to warm, dry growing conditions. The tree develops a vigorous, spreading growth habit with attractive evergreen gray-green foliage.

Chemlali produces relatively small olives with a high oil content. The fruit is used primarily for producing olive oil rather than as a large table olive. Chemlali oil is generally considered mild and delicate, making this variety especially appealing to home growers interested in producing olives for oil.

This variety is known for good drought tolerance once established and can handle dry growing conditions particularly well.
