American Sycamore is a massive fast-growing native shade tree known for its distinctive peeling bark, large maple-like leaves, and impressive mature size. This iconic native tree is commonly found along rivers, wetlands, and bottomlands throughout the Southeastern United States and is an excellent choice for large properties, wildlife plantings, naturalized landscapes, and shade tree plantings in North Florida, South Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle.

The striking white, tan, and gray mottled bark provides year-round visual interest and makes the American Sycamore one of the most recognizable native trees in the South. Its broad canopy creates excellent shade while supporting wildlife and native ecosystems.
